What are you going to do?
As an experienced transport planner at Gerritsen Logistics, you are responsible for efficiently planning transports and optimally deploying drivers and equipment. You work in a dynamic environment where your organisational skills and ability to switch quickly are essential.
- You will plan shipments of goods within Europe, with a focus on exceptional transport, and ensure that planning meets both customer and regulatory requirements.
- You ensure the optimal deployment of drivers and equipment, taking into account both capacity and route optimisation.
- You ensure that all transports comply with laws and regulations, both at national and international level.
- You have an eye for improving the cost and time efficiency of transports, looking for smart solutions without compromising on service quality.
- You will coordinate the transport process from start to finish and liaise closely with drivers to ensure flawless execution.
- In case of unforeseen circumstances (such as delays or problems en route), you act quickly and appropriately to minimise the impact and ensure customer satisfaction.
- You will keep both internal teams and customers informed of the progress of shipments, and provide clear reports on the shipments carried out.
- You will contribute to the further optimisation of internal work processes and tools, continuously looking for improvements in efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Who are you?
- You have completed at least an MBO education and have already gained experience in a similar position with a logistics service provider.
- You have the drive to continuously improve both yourself and the organisation.
- You have strong organisational and communication skills in Dutch and English.
- You are a team player with perseverance and persuasiveness.
- You have a high level of stress resistance and remain calm under pressure.
